We are a group of local parents and teachers who are working to establish a new primary school in Canterbury which promises to be different. Our school will follow an innovative approach to education and a diverse and creative curriculum. The children will learn through project work rather than following a traditional timetable, and will be guided by their strengths and interests. Every pupil, from Reception through to Year 6, will also have the wonderful opportunity to participate in Forest School, every week, all year round.
Research shows these approaches, when used throughout early-years and primary schooling, have consistently led to improved outcomes in later years. Learning in this way fosters a passion and enthusiasm that children take with them into secondary school and beyond.
